Dom DeLuise fights a personal battle of the bulge in this comedy/drama written
and directed by Anne Bancroft, who also co-stars.



In a role that is alternately uproariously funny and deeply touching, DeLuise portrays Dominick DiNapoli, an overweight
man who cheerfully eats his way through every day.  The sudden death of an obese cousin shocks the family and soon has
Dom's emotional sister, Antoinette (Bancroft), hounding him to lose weight.  It's not easy, and finally Dom discovers
that crash diets, eating binges, and self-hatred are not the answer.  His family has to love him for who he is, and,
most importantly, he's got to learn to love himself. 



Deftly combining humor, insight and some outrageous sight gags, FATSO is a well-drawn portrait of a man discovering
there's a better way to deal with life's problems than eating your heart out.



Notes: By request, this is a new rip (from a very old VHS tape).  The movie is out of print, never on DVD, and possibly
nowhere on the internet.
